Disc Golf Worlds Championship Underway in Charlotte

The 2012 PDGA Disc Golf Worlds Championship is officially underway in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Queen City will play host to the gathering of over 1,350 participants from around the globe, including 13 different countries such as Norway, Japan and Canada.
Over 1,350 Disc Golfers gather at the Blake Hotel in Charlotte, NC for the PDGA Worlds official Player's Meeting before the action kicks off Tuesday Morning.
The disc golfers will play 13 different courses throughout the Charlotte area, including:
Bailey Road Park in Cornelius, NC
Bradford Park and Hornet's Nest in Huntersville, NC
Nevin Park, Sugaw Creek Park, Eastway Park, Kilborne Park, Reedy Creek Park, Idlewild Park, Eager/Angry Beaver, Renaissance Park, Winget Park and RL Smith Park all in Charlotte, NC.

Play begins Tuesday, July 17 with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m EST.  The public is welcome to come watch the action unfold.  The tournament will conclude Sunday with the finals being played at Hornet's Nest Park in Huntersville, where a PDGA Worlds champion will named.
